Last week we celebrated the end of the GROW programme for 2020-2021 and what a year it’s been!
Our young people have navigated a pandemic and numerous national lockdowns, while still managing to focus on completing the GROW programme, developing new skills and discovering their strengths. We couldn’t be more proud of everything they have achieved.
For some of our young people, last Friday was their very last day at the Farm, and they will be going on to further Education or their first jobs. For others, this year marks the beginning, and they’ll be back at the Farm in September to continue their journey with us.
Our GROW tutors have worked incredibly hard over the last academic year to teach invaluable skills to our young people, helping them to gain confidence, earn qualifications and become more independent.
The GROW programme is at the heart of all we do here at the Farm and we are so delighted to have had such a wonderful celebration for our young people last week. Led by our GROW Team Leader Mike, the celebration was attended by most GROW attendees, and it was an opportunity for the team at the Farm to thank the young people for their hard work, and wish them luck in their next steps.

They are caring, hard working, funny and supportive. We all bring our own brand of madness to the mix, and somehow, it works. In all my time in education, I have never seen such noticeable progress from young people, in just one academic year. And it’s all down to the magnificent misfits that I now call my team. I’m very privileged to work with them and I can’t wait for September when we get to do it all over again!Have a wonderful summer!’
