Easter Holidays at Amelia Trust

Easter is our favourite time of year at the Farm and we’ve got loads for families to enjoy during the holidays. Gather everyone together and make the most of Spring!

From tractor rides and teddy bears, to exotic animals and Easter eggs, we’ve got something for everyone.

The Big Easter Event 2023

After the success of last year’s Big Easter Event, we can’t wait to welcome you back for another jam-packed four days of family fun!

Our Big Easter Event will run from Monday 3rd April until Thursday 6th April.

As well as the chance to see our animals, explore the woodland, and play in the park, there will be an Easter trail for children to try – with a chocolate prize for all children who complete the trail! We’ll also have tractor rides, lawn games, face painting, and more…

Teddy Bear Time

Teddy Bear Time is an adorable gift for Easter because children will leave with their very own fluffy friend!

This lovely activity is suitable for children aged 4 and older.

Each child will have the choice of a beautifully bright rainbow bear, gorgeously cute grey bunny, and adorably friendly scruffy bear. (All bears must be chosen in advance).

Children will make their teddy bear, name their bear, and then design and make a t-shirt to suit their bear. All children will leave the activity with their beautiful soft toy, a certificate, and a teddy bear themed activity pack that they can finish at home!

Unique Animal Experience

Led by A & S Animal Encounters, this is an animal experience you’ll remember forever. Children will meet a whole host of fascinating animals that you wouldn’t normally see at our Care Farm… or any other Farm for that matter!

Come and see:

  • a binturong (also known as the bearcat)
  • meerkat
  • armadillo
  • indigo snake
    and
  • blue tongue skink!

Learn all about these exotic animals from the experts, see them up close, stroke them, find out where they come from and how they live. Ask as many questions as you like and take plenty of photos to remember your day. This activity will last for one hour.

Be a Farmer for the Day

Our ever popular Be a Farmer activity gives 8 – 12 year olds a real insight into life at our Care Farm. Described by children as a ‘VIP experience’, children will feed, groom, play, and take care of our lovely animals with our Animal Care Team.

This 4 hour activity has already sold out for Easter, but you can still add your email address to our waiting list to be the first to hear about Be a Farmer during the May half term and summer holidays.

Farm Visits at Amelia Trust during the Easter Holidays

Of course, we are open throughout the Easter holidays for normal Farm visits. (The Big Easter Event is the exception, as all tickets are for the event only).

Stomp through the woodland to find our green play trail, the pond, wicked wildlife, and Gnome Man’s Land! Play in the outdoor park, see the animals, and explore everything Amelia Trust has to offer. Our Easter trail will also run throughout the school holidays!

Bro Coffi will be onsite during the Easter holidays serving delicious hot drinks and tasty snacks.

Grab your wellies and enjoy discovering the countryside sanctuary that is Amelia Trust.

By visiting Amelia Trust, you’re helping us to continue our life-changing work with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people. Your support makes a big difference – thank you!
