Woodland

With winding paths and gorgeous flora and fauna, our beautiful woodland is the perfect place for a wander between the trees.

The Gnome and Fairy Trail

Follow the path down to the pond and see how many gnomes and fairies you can spot along the way!

Gnome Man’s Land has been created by our volunteers especially for our volunteers, and we hope you enjoy the magic as much as we do…

The Gnome and Fairy trail is on one level and is the most accessible for a pushchair, pram, or wheelchair. However, as with any woodland, the surface of the path can be uneven and will be impacted by the weather.

The Nature Trail

The Nature Trail is a more challenging walk and includes steps, slopes, and some areas that may become slippery. You’ll find the green play area and our memorial garden along this route.

Merlin’s Trail

Merlin’s Walk is our shortest woodland walk. It begins through the amphitheatre and will take you to the sheep field. This path is on one level but can be narrow in places.

Woodland Wildlife

Our semi-ancient woodland is home to a variety of wildlife including bats, birds, and insects. Our woodland volunteers carry out regular Bioblitz sessions to record the species in the woodland.

If you’ve got an interest in nature and you’d like to come and volunteer in the woodland, please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you – and no experience is necessary!
