Dog Recall/Training Field

Dog Recall/Training Field

We have always welcomed dogs at Amelia Trust, and we know that many dog owners love exploring our beautiful woodland and enjoying the sights and scents of the Farm.

We know there is a need for more secure spaces for dogs to have time off the lead, and we have an area on site that is well suited to be a training or recall field. Hiring this space out to dog owners will help us boost our charity’s income, as well as encourage new visitors to the Farm.

We know the field we have to offer may not be suitable for every dog, so please read the following information carefully, along with the attached terms and conditions, before deciding whether to book a slot in our training field.

So that we can ensure that we are delivering the best service, we would welcome feedback from anyone who books a session on the field.

Details of the Secure Space
The space is 15m X 41m = 615 m2 and surrounded by a mesh fence that is approximately 6 ft high.

To access the field, you will need to come to reception, which can be found by following the red brick path into the Farm, and turning right after the Green Leaf Café.

There are animals on site, so please be mindful of this when deciding whether this space is suitable for you and your dog.

Bowls with water for dogs can be found outside our Animal Centre. There is also a welly wash station outside the Animal Centre with an outdoor tap. This can be used to hose down muddy boots or paws.

Expectations while on Site

As a charity we have various animals and service users on site at any one time. Dogs must be kept on a lead until you enter the secure site, and you must pick up any mess after them.

Cost per Session

Sessions are £10 for a 50 minute session for 1 adult and up to 3 dogs.
The cost will include entry to the Farm for you and your dog to explore the woodland, see the animals, and discover what the Farm has to offer. Parking at Amelia Trust is free.

If you would like to bring additional family members with you during your visit, they will need to pay for entrance to the Farm which is £3 per additional person. Under 18s must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
