June 1st – June 7th 2022 is Volunteers’ Week – a chance to celebrate volunteers everywhere!
We are incredibly lucky to have a fantastic team of volunteers at the Farm. Our volunteers help with a huge range of jobs at Amelia Trust from gardening and maintenance to fundraising and supporting our young people.
As a small charity, we would be lost without our volunteers.
Some volunteers have been helping at Amelia Trust since it opened over 30 years ago. Others have become part of the Farm family relatively recently. Whether they’ve been here for 2 or 20 years, our volunteers are invaluable.
Why volunteer at Amelia Trust?
Volunteering is a fantastic way to give back to the local community. For many, volunteering is an opportunity to socialise with different people, learn new skills, or spend time away from your typical daily routine.
Volunteering is incredibly rewarding because you know you are making a real difference.
At Amelia Trust, our volunteers help us to keep the Farm looking beautiful for our visitors. This can involve weeding, gardening, or being more creative and making new signs or installations for visitors to enjoy. Volunteers created our lovely Gnome Home in the woodland!
Our volunteers decorate the Farm for events, organise fundraising, take photos, and make our trails.
Volunteers also help out with the GROW programme and work directly with our young people.
No two days are the same at the Farm, and we know that many of our volunteers enjoy spending time in such a unique outdoor location.
How do volunteers make a difference at Amelia Trust?
With such a small team of paid staff, and even fewer full time staff, our volunteers help us to make sure that we are making the most of the Farm. They give the Farm the finishing touches it needs and are a huge support to the charity.
How many volunteers are there at Amelia Trust?
We have over 60 volunteers who give up their time to help out at Amelia Trust, and we are incredibly grateful to each and every one!

Thank you!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our volunteers, past, present and future. Without you, the Farm wouldn’t be the place it is today – diolch yn fawr!
