From wandering through the woodland to spotting birds around the pond, there are so many benefits to spending time outdoors. Join us for a day of nature, wildlife, creativity and fun, and discover more about the wonderful animals and wildlife right on your doorstep.
Whether you’re curious about bees, love meeting animals, enjoy getting creative, or simply want to spend a few hours getting lost in nature, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
🌼 What’s happening on the day?
🐰 Meet our small animals
A member of our Animal Care team will be in the Animal Centre to introduce you to some of our small animals, including rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, degus and, of course, our reptiles!
🎨 Get creative
Head to the craft room and get creative with some fun activities.
✨ Face painting and hair braiding
Have your face painted in your very own style — and why not add a little sparkle too?
🐝 Discover the world of bees
The Cardiff and Vale Bee Keeper Associations will be joining us to share fascinating talks about Honeybees, Solitary Bees and Bumble Bees, including their lifestyles and the important role they play in our environment.
🍯 Learn about beekeeping
Find out what it takes to become a beekeeper, including the equipment and training you’ll need.
🍯 Taste local honey
You’ll also have the opportunity to sample some delicious local honey!
🌿 Explore the farm
Have a go at our seasonal trail, meet the animals and enjoy our outdoor park — with plenty of opportunities to explore and enjoy the great outdoors.

Online ticket prices:
- Individual ticket: £7.14
- Group ticket for 4 people: £25.20
Tickets must be purchased for all adults and children aged 2 years and over.
Tickets purchased at the gate:
- Individual: £7.77 per person
- Group of 4: £27.72
Booking online offers the best price, so make sure you get your tickets in advance!
☕ Important information
- The Green Leaf Café will be open from 11am–3pm.
- Every adult and child aged 2 years and over must have their own ticket.
- All visitors must be offsite by 4.30pm.
- We are unable to offer refunds and tickets are non-transferable.
- The event will go ahead in the rain. No refunds or credits will be given if the weather is poor, unless we decide it is unsafe to open.
- Dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a lead at all times. Please remember to pick up after your dog.
