Woodland Volunteers at Amelia Trust

Help us give our beautiful woodland the attention it deserves

You don’t need any experience to become a woodland volunteer. You just need to enjoy spending time outdoors and be keen to help the local environment.

Matt, our Woodland Ranger, leads woodland volunteer sessions every Monday morning and on the third Saturday of each month. While our Monday sessions are only suitable for adults, our Saturday sessions are suitable for children as well as adults – we just ask that children are supervised by an accompanying adult.

As well as getting stuck in to building a boardwalk, you might be cutting back brambles, clearing the ground, IDing some wildlife, or creating a new woodland trail.

How can I start volunteering?

Get in touch with us by giving us a call on 01446 782030 or email matt@ameliatrust.org.uk. We’ll be able to tell you about the date of the next session, and find out when you’d like to join us.

Do I need any equipment to volunteer in the woods?

We have all of the equipment you need. You must make sure you wear suitable (and waterproof) clothes and footwear, and we’d encourage you to bring a bottle of water too.
