As lots of you will already know, we have been applying for grants to transform an old building into a new Community Café.
The new Community Café will incorporate much improved facilities for disabled people, a new servery and future proofing it with environmentally friendly technologies – a facility which we know will be of huge benefit to our visitors, volunteers and service users.
We should be informed if we’ve been successful in securing funding by the start of October. We know having a café on site is huge for everyone who loves Amelia Trust, and as soon as we have any more information, we’ll pass it on.
Dennis Hellyar Architects have produced the graphic below to show how the entrance to the building would be made more accessible and eco-friendly.
Over the summer, Bro Coffi have been stationed at the Farm serving excellent coffee, drinks, and snacks. We’ve had lots of lovely feedback from visitors about Bro Coffi, so we know how popular they are, and we’re thrilled to say that they’ll continue to be onsite on weekends and during school holidays for the foreseeable future.
