Sponsor an Animal this Christmas

If you’re looking for a last minute Christmas present, and you want something a little more thoughtful than a selection box, why not consider sponsoring an animal for someone you love?

Amelia Trust Farm is a Care Farm with over 20 different species of animals. Lots of our animals are older, or have been rescued, and come to us to live out their lives happily and peacefully.

Why are the animals so important?

The animals at Amelia Trust Farm play an essential role in the work we do with young people.

Our GROW programme is an alternative education provision supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable young people from across South Wales.

Therapeutic sessions with the animals can help our young people to feel more confident and encourage them to socialise with their peers. The animals can also help out young people feel less isolated, and lonely, and more likely to engage in other sessions at the Farm.

“I like the animals because they teach me about responsibility”

“I like the animals because they make me feel like I have friends”.

“It’s my happy place.”

“If it wasn’t for this place my mental health would be in the bin.”

How does your money help?

It costs us £154 per day to feed and care for the animals at our Farm. If you sponsor an animal, your money will be used to pay for:

  • Veterinary care to keep our animals healthy
  • Food, bedding and enrichment
  • Maintenance of our animal housing

Our Animal Care team do everything they can to ensure our animals live happily and healthily at Amelia Trust Farm, and your support can help us do just that.

The animals are an integral part of life at the Farm, and mean so much to our young people.
