We know it seems far too soon to be thinking about Christmas trees and tinsel, but we just can’t contain ourselves! We want to make Christmas 2022 magical, and our aim is to involve the whole community.
What’s the plan?
With the help of our GROW team, we are going to upcycle wooden pallets to make sustainable Christmas trees.
Once the trees have been made, we’ll give them to local schools, groups, and organisations to decorate however they would like to. When they are finished, we’ll display the Christmas trees at the Farm for our Community Christmas event, and then over the festive period for everyone to enjoy.
How do I get involved?
There’s no charge to join in with our event but to make sure we can spread the word about the groups that get involved, we’ll ask each one to send us some information and photographs of their organisation.
So if you’re part of a group of organisation and you’d like to tell more people about the amazing activities you do, why not decorate a Christmas tree and be part of our event?!
We’d love to involve as many groups as possible, but we need to make sure we collect enough pallets to make trees for everyone. If you’re keen to find out more about our Community Christmas, send an email to sophieh@ameliatrust.org.uk and we’ll get back to you with more information.
