Meet the Animals this Feburary Half Term!

We are delighted to be offering your little ones the chance to get up close to some of our lovely animals this half term! We have 2 Meet the Animal Sessions running: Meet the Ponies and Meet the Goats.

Meet the Ponies

Everyone loves ponies, and we are very lucky to have two ponies at Amelia Trust!

During the Meet the Ponies sessions you’ll find out all about our two beautiful ponies, Buddy and Mac, from our Animal Care Team. You’ll learn what they do each day, what they like to eat, and how they play! Once you’ve been introduced, you’ll help to groom the ponies, give them a cuddle, and have a chance to ask your questions to our team.

Meet the Ponies is ideal for children who are interested in ponies and want to learn more, or those who have never had a chance to get close to a pony. Every child attending the session must be accompanied by an adult.

We are holding 3 Meet the Ponies sessions during half term, These will be on:

  • Monday 21st February at 2:30pm
  • Wednesday 23rd February at 2:30pm
  • Friday 25th February at 2:30pm

Meet the Goats

Our mischievous goats are firm favourites with everyone who visits the Farm. Adorable, curious, and cheeky, they’ve made themselves right at home on the Farm since their arrival last year. Our gorgeous goats are super friendly, and during the session you’ll get the chance to find out what they get up to every day, and who rules the roost! You’ll help to feed them, give them plenty of cuddles, and ask our Animal Care team your questions.

Meet the Goats is an ideal session for children who love to get up close to animals, and is a great opportunity to learn more about our goats, including their likes, dislikes, and different personalities. Every child attending the session must be accompanied by an adult.

We are holding 2 Meet the Goats sessions during half term, These will be on:

  • Tuesday 22nd February at 2:30pm
  • Thursday 24th February at 2:30pm

For health and safety reasons, both Meet the Animal sessions are only suitable for children aged 5 years and older.

For the health and safety of our animals and visitors, tickets for the Meet the Animal sessions are very limited and will be sold on a first come, first served basis. We expect the tickets to sell quickly, and once they’ve gone, we won’t be releasing any more…so make sure you’re quick!

Explore the Farm

If you’d like to come to our Meet the Animal sessions, why not make a day of it and enjoy all that Amelia Trust has to offer?

When you book, you’ll receive a seasonal trail via email that will guide you around the Farm. We have plenty of woodland to explore, so make sure you bring suitable footwear! Boots or wellies are ideal. Take the path through the woodland and back past the field of sheep and alpacas, or follow the Gnome and Fairy trail down to our pond.

We’ve got an outdoor park, lots of open space, and the Farm Kitchen is an onsite cafe serving hot drinks and snacks.

There really is something for everyone!
